Hokkaido University is running the “WinGS (Women in Global Science) Project” to promote international activities of female faculty members as a part of the Program for Promoting the Enhancement of Research Universities. In the same way as the international symposia and seminars/workshops for the empowerment of global activities, the WinGS Project sets up “Global Networking Awards” as below. The Awards are provided to encourage brilliant women faculties of Hokkaido University to show up on international stages and to proactively create global networks.

Content of the Awards
Travel expenses (up to ¥600,000) for attending international academic congresses/meetings* and Plus-One Visit** will be supplied to women. All the itinerary should be in FY2014.
*to make an oral or poster presentation as the first author. Registration/Participation fees is included. **to visit researchers or institutions of interest for collaboration, on the way to or from the congress/meeting.
Eligible Candidates
Hokkaido University women faculty members (associate professors, lecturers, and assistant professors) and F3 project specially appointed women faculties in the research fields of science, engineering, agricultural sciences, and medical/health sciences.
Offering Period
Annually in FY2014 – FY2017 (From FY2018 onward, the awards will be continued after revising the prescriptions for eligible candidates and application contents)
